It’s the day after your wedding and you are left with a bunch of beautiful flower arrangements including your bouquet in which you can’t bear the thought of just throwing it away. What can you do?! Besides giving them to guests to take home, there are plenty of other special ways to make the most out of your arrangements. Here are just a few:
DONATE: Everyone knows that fresh flowers really brighten up a room and what a great way to brighten up the living space for those in a nursing home than to deliver a big beautiful arrangement from your wedding. They can put it in the common room for everyone to enjoy!
REMEMBER LOVED ONES: Whether you place a bouquet, individual flowers, or sprinkle petals on the gravestone of loved ones, it is a great way to make them part of this special event in your life.
KEEPSAKE BRACELET: One of the options we have is to add Swarovski crystals to your bouquet and afterwards you drop off the crystals and we turn it into a beautiful and special keepsake bracelet. Not only will it remind you of your wedding day, but specifically your bouquet! If crystals aren’t your thing, you can check out Etsy for someone to turn your dried flower petals into beaded bracelets, necklaces, and even a rosary.
TURN IT INTO ART: There are several artists out there who will paint a picture of your bouquet for you to help preserve the memory. Some will even incorporate dried flowers from your arrangement into the artwork. What better décor for your house than something sentimental and beautiful?
If you chose to keep your flowers after the wedding, to be able to enjoy them as long as possible, keep them in clean, fresh water. Flowers also like a fresh cut then placed back in warm water every few days. For bouquets, it doesn’t matter if you unwrap them from the ribbon or keep them wrapped, they will last the same amount of time.
As always, if you ever have any questions, feel free to contact us! We are here for all your wedding flower needs and that includes after the wedding as well!
